MLSN Internship Programme
With the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, physical learning has become unfeasible for many. It can be a challenge to stand out from the crowds and demonstrate experience when pursuing a legal career. A lack of experience should not prevent someone from taking the first steps in their dream career. With MLSN extensive experience and network, we partnered with top Malaysian Law Firms, Educational Institutions, Corporations and more to improve employability opportunities in the real world of the legal industry.
Via this significant project, students joining as interns will be able to learn directly from qualified legal scholars and practitioners vis-à-vis the Malaysian legal industry as well as the compelling areas of law. Indeed, highly experienced legal practitioners and the like will be invited to conduct insightful webinars and workshops on such said topics. Networking sessions will be held as well so as to foster greater professional relationships amongst the interns. As the name suggests, the project will be conducted fully online. Truly, it is in MLSN’s views that students will be able to acquire a wider understanding on the modus operandi of the legal workforce.

MLSN Pro Bono Internship Project
Proudly presenting to you — MLSN Pro Bono Internship Project (PBIP)!
PBIP is the first law student-led pro bono internship initiative in Malaysia, and will feature a star-studded lineup of law firms and NGOs which offer a wide range of legal practice areas!
In light of the recent unprecedented challenges that struck the country, MLSN is very much aware that many lives and livelihoods of the people are now being put to serious test, and it is timely for law students to do something about it. Hence, we have decided to reach out to some of the most prominent lawyers within the region that offer pro bono legal work, in hope of organising a pro bono internship project that will not only benefit Malaysian law students in particular, but also the community at large!
We would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the fundamental value of being a law student who strives to uphold the rule of law. After all, it is not always about the dream that we chase, but to deliver justice that matters.
Registration will soon be opened to the public. Do stay tuned on all our official sites for the exciting announcement!

MLSN Negotiation Competition
Negotiation is the process of parties bargaining in an attempt to reach an agreement. It represents a compromise by parties in recognition of what would be a win-win deal for all sides. With courts being flooded and packed with case, the notion of utilizing alternatives to the conventional court procedures, particularly negotiation has grown ever more appealing to many. With that being the case, the skill of negotiation too has become fundamental in order to facilitate and settle disputes in a more sustainable manner in terms of resources, cost and time.
Being what would arguably be the first in Malaysia, the MLSN Negotiation Competition is a newly established initiative that would act as a platform for Malaysian law students to obtain hands-on experience that prepares them beyond theory and into practice. To prepare the Participants with essential legal skills, workshops on the art of negotiation will be conducted beforehand to ensure that participants receive the relevant knowledge before competing, along with the opportunity to network with external personnel after. Despite this provision, MLSN still expects participants to take the initiative and conduct their own research to garner further insight on negotiation before competing.
